Tremaine Green is situated
between Looe and Polperro only 3 miles from the
spectacular SE Cornish coast. A mile away is the village
of Pelynt (pronounced Plint), a medieval agricultural
settlement with village shops, a pleasant pub, licensed
restaurant, Anglican and Methodist churches, together with
a holy well and Iron Age earth works. Polperro, Looe and
Fowey (by ferry) are all within a short distance. Within
half an hour’s drive there is an abundance of interesting
places to visit. Comfortable day trips will take you to
all of Cornwall’s and most of Devon’s picturesque spots.

situated in the grounds.

bagatelle on site.
Wildlife and Bird Watching - Superb on cliff tops
and in the wooded river valleys; at Tremaine Green itself
Little Owls, swallows, Barn Owls, Pipestrel Bats, badgers,
foxes, field mice, hawks and buzzards are seen.
Pelynt and Lanreath villages are within walking distance
(1.25 miles away). Both have a village shop and Pub
serving fine food. Pelynt also has a butcher's, a general
stores and Post Office, a florist's and two garages
including a petrol station. Only 15 minutes away by car is
the famed ‘Trago Mills’. Cornwall has a wealth of inns,
pubs and restaurants serving fine, traditional fare -
we're sure you'll want to sample the Cornish cream-teas
and West Country cider!
You can discover the beauty and character of the West
Country by enjoying the numerous walks. Locally we have
Bodmin moor, Llansallos National Trust beach and
coastline, the Looe valleys and the Deerpark forest, all
of which allow dogs.
