Quay East Looe -
Looe was the backdrop
to ITV's
surf-based drama Echo Beach. Starring soap veterans Jason
Donovan and Martine McCutcheon, Echo Beach was filmed
on location throughout Cornwall but external shots of "Polnurran"
are in fact our very own Looe.
East and West Looe were said
to present a perfect image of a busy Cornish fishing
village.
The surf drama, devised by
co-creator of Life On Mars, Tony Jordan, is set in the
fictional Cornish village of Polnurran and follows the lives
of Daniel and Susan as they struggle to deal with their past
while battling their way through a string of gritty story
lines full of passion and intrigue.
