Doves plus Mumford & Sons will play
the magical Eden Sessions stage on Friday 2 July 2010. This
session marks a return for Indie legends Doves, who played at the home
of the world-famous Biomes in 2002. Folk rock's newest stars Mumford &
Sons - emerged from the prolific West London folk scene and have since
wowed audiences with their top ten debut Sigh No More.

The Liskeard Show is one of the biggest in the South West, and has
always had a wide selection of high quality entries in the large animal
classes, and you can see smaller animals, cavies, donkeys, poultry,

compete! Displays of livestock and country crafts, with
trade stands, local food tent and main ring entertainment. Hot and cold

on the Quay – Daily food tastings at Looe Festival by the Sea from TASTE
SE Cornwall
The ever popular ‘grazing on the
quay’ will again take place as part of the Looe Festival by the Sea with
daily tasting from 11am. Visitor and locals alike can sample the best of
local food and drink in stalls set up along the harbour side of the
historic fishing port of Looe. You will be able to savour the flavour of
king prawn shooters, tickle the taste buds with oat-coated mackerel
burger or flatter the palate with festival fishcakes! The event is also
designed to 'meet the producers'; including Cornish Orchards apple
juices and ciders. If Looe's catch of the day is not your tidbit, then
perhaps you will smack your lips and be tempted with Cornish
Strawberries dipped in chocolate. The tastings are organised by Taste SE
Cornwall group in conjunction with the RNLI who are organising the

2010
Stithians Show is one of the largest and oldest one day shows in the
country. Established in 1834, it has been held continuously since then
(except for three years during the first world war, and five years
during the second and 2001 due to foot & mouth concerns). It is held
annually in July and the attendance is in excess of 20,000 people each
year. The main attractions at Stithians Show are the thirteen
'Sections', where people exhibit and compete in a large variety of

by making and recording your own scene inspired by classic archive
footage; bring out your inner voice with a professional poet; or bust
some moves in the choreography and dance sessions.
Free your artistic side: Design your own skateboard with Fal
Skateboards; try skate photography with skaters from Xtravert; create a
piece of animation or a BBC Blast graffiti art mural.
Use state of the art equipment sample music composition; play with TV
special effects; or try radio journalism, scriptwriting and programme
making.
A selection of work created at the event will be shown at the Blast
Talent Showcase on Saturday 24th July at 5.30pm, where you can get to
see the future stars of the area showing off their new skills!
