Ye Olde Plough House Inn has the best of both
worlds nestling in the heart of the Cornish countryside and yet only
three miles from the seaside town of Looe on the southwest coast. A
long established building dating back to the late 18th century and a
public house in 1906, it was then used as a residence, but was
re-established as a pub only some 20 years ago. It has been owned
and run by Gary and Alison Toms for the past 14 years. Classed as a
traditional ‘Olde worlde’ pub it boasts slate floors, settles and
old church pews, beamed ceilings and general rustic charm.
Whether wanting a quiet drink, a meal with
friends or just a light snack The Plough offers a friendly, warm and
inviting atmosphere. In 2003 it was awarded Best Food Pub in the
South West by the local tourism office. |
