Welcome to
the
Best of
South East
Cornwall…
Looe,
Polperro, Polruan, Rame, Kingsand, Cawsand, Seaton, Bodmin
Moor, the Cheesewring, the Hurlers, Siblyback Lake
...a place for all seasons
OK
so the nights are closing in a little but summers not over
yet. Statistically Cornwall can expect some really good
weather in September and October - AND the beaches,
villages, gardens and attractions are not so crowded.
Still time for the beach
and even the sea which is at it's warmest at this time of
the year. Time to unwind - so how do these sound: a bracing
walk along the coast path or through South East Cornwall’s
beautiful rolling countryside? A cosy evening by the
fireside, or a gourmet evening meal by a harbour-side?
We can help …..
South East Cornwall Walking Festival 18 - 26
September, Formerly known as the Looe Valley Walking
Festival and now in its tenth year, South East Cornwall once
again invites you to explore its wonderful countryside in
the hands of some expert guides. The festival incorporates
wild food walks, walks to view steam rains, walks round pubs
and walks ending at a beer festival - all alongside the more
traditional coast-and-countryside ambles!
Steam
Trains return to Looe
on September 19th and 26th,
for the first time in nearly 50 years, clebrating 150 years
of the Looe branch line, and the 175th anniversary of the
Great Western Railway.
